“Alex showed planning and decision making pre-season when Covid forced Alex's family to move to a different school in order for his mother to be able to teach. The new school did not offer archery, and Alex approached us immediately with a plan in hopes of being able to remain on our team so he would not have to give up his love for the sport. OAS recognized that Alex's situation was unique and out of his control due to the pandemic and graciously made a "Covid exception," allowing him to participate on our team for one more year. Alex also seeks peaceful resolution to conflict by reaching out with encouragement when other archers is feeling hurt or discouraged.”
